Did You Pick Up Kuo Yet?
Hong-Chih Kuo struck out four in four scoreless innings last night, and is expected to start for the Dodgers on June 2nd. He now has 23K in 15.1 AAA innings.
Did you listen to me the other day? It’s on Rotoworld now, so you better hurry.

Looking like a very good call. Definitely a good pickup as insurance if a Gallardo waiver claim doesn’t go through.

I already have Lincecum and Gallardo. I think I will wait til Kuo’s first start.

I think Gallardo’s a star. Kuo’s a great pickup in deeper leagues, but guys like Lincecum and Gallardo will be studs in any league.
There are a lot of guys I bring up on this site that I rave about, but usually just as an option in a deep league. A lot of these guys will fail, or not get enough playing time to be a factor.
I don’t think Gallardo will stay in the minors any later than the all-star break. He’s doing too well to be kept down, and the Brewers will have to make room for him. That might mean a Bush trade or Vargas to the bullpen. One or or another, I think he’s going to log a good 75 major league innings this year.

Kuo’s not looking so hot right now…

Spoke a little soon Sam. That was an ugly first inning, but you have to like the way Kuo pitched after he settled down, rattling off four scoreless. Maybe next time the Dodgers’ll let him go a little deeper.
